The program files can already be downloaded, for the PC version are according to the developers around 55 GB. The program is not available on Steam, but only through the Blizzard Battle.net.

By the way, users who bought the disc version on Playstation 4 or Xbox One also need about the same amount of data. According to Activision , the absolutely necessary Day-One Patch is around 50 GB in size – and thus only slightly smaller than the entire download version, which accounts for around 55 GB.

The Battle Royale mode Blackout can be started as soon as around 16 to 20 GBytes have landed on the hard disk, for all other modes the download must be completed. To ensure that the installation runs smoothly, according to the manufacturer on the hard disk of the Playstation 4 around 112 GB should be free. On the Xbox One, this is apparently not necessary.

Black Ops 4 is the first call of duty without a single player campaign. Players can only compete in multiplayer modes. The most exciting innovation over its predecessors is Blackout, the counterpart to the Pubg and Fortnite. It plays on a big map that picks up on elements of successful maps from the rich history of Call of Duty with places like Nuketown.
