Of course, the fact is that the Porsche brand’s birthday is considered to be June 8, 1948, when the company received a certificate for the first production car – it was the Model 356. It is also important that at the current presentation of the red speedster, Porsche confirmed its serial release – the concept will indeed go into a series, even if only in 1948 copies. The Porsche 911 Speedster is based on the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet generation 991, but the powerplant and transmission are from the 911 GT3 version: it’s a 4-liter, 500-horsepower, naturally-aspirated six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive.
