GoPro released an update to the GoPro application that allows direct live streaming to YouTube from the HERO7 Black, so family, friends, and followers can experience every turn, takeoff, fall and victory in real time.
Previously, an RTMP URL was needed to publish on YouTube, but with this update, HERO7 Black transmits directly to the platform. This allows users to access the YouTube Live control panel to learn about chat interactions as they occur and follow the flow of comments as the experience unfolds.See More: Some apps follow you even after you have removed them
“We like to think it’s the Real World: GoPro Live Edition, a time to share unscripted moments and behind-the-scenes adventures.” This is especially beneficial for vloggers to automatically share completely new perspectives with their followers that can only be captured on a GoPro. The live streaming of YouTube is archived on a YouTube page like any other video, no postproduction is required, “the company said in a statement.
To add more ease to the live streaming process, a new ” health meter ” shows the strength of the live broadcast, so you can anticipate the jump from the 480p input resolution to a 720p transmission. There is also an option to save a high-resolution 1080p video on the camera’s memory card.
The update also offers faster downloads and faster in QuikStories to make social sharing is even easier.
These updates are available on iOS today through the App Store and will be released on Android next month.
