The sports car manufacturer McLaren has presented a new top model. The more than 1000 hp and over 400 km / h fast Speedtail comes in only over a year on the market – but all 106 copies are already pre-ordered – despite the price of 2.1 million euros.

Limited to 106 copies and about 2.1 million euros expensive, he sets McLaren in many respects records in the company’s history: So he is with 772 kW / 1050 hp the strongest ever McLaren and reaches 403 km / h, a higher speed than anyone other sports cars from Woking in front of him.
Inspired by the first McLaren F1 road sports car, the Speedtail comes with a very unusual seating layout. Like in a circuit racing car, the driver sits in the middle, while the two passengers sit behind him slightly offset to the left and right. If you activate the Velocity mode, in which the hybrid battery is initially fully charged and the aerodynamics optimized, it reaches a top speed of 403 km / h shortly thereafter. McLaren enters new technical territory in many disciplines.
According to the company, the Speedtail features fold-out spoilers made of flexible carbon fiber, the exterior mirrors are replaced by cameras, and instead of sun visors there is a special tint for the windshield, which darkens at the push of a button in the upper half. In the same way, the side windows and the porthole in the roof can be clouded.
Although it takes 15 months to market, but who only now starts saving and expressing his interest, comes too late: All 106 copies are already promised and pre-ordered according to McLaren.
