Sony began sending a message to the PlayStation game console users about the closure of some servers as early as January 2019. However, this warning only applies to owners of the PlayStation 3.

The closure of game servers involves a relatively small number of games, none of which can boast a large number of players at the moment.

The letter indicates the following games: Warhawk, Twisted Metal, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale and Sound Shapes. Closing is scheduled for midnight Pacific time on January 31, 2019. After that, PlayStation 3 users will not be able to access the online multiplayer component of these games.

Note, the other day, Sony PlayStation 3 celebrated another birthday. On November 11, 2006, Sony released the PlayStation 3 in Japan, in the USA the console went on sale in a week, in Europe – on March 23, 2007.
